The sounds of a river that remembers everything the city doesn't
sound installation, 2021
The work is comprised of field recordings of the Ustia river and the Basiv Kut lake that are located in Rivne, Ukraine. The sound installation was shown at Rivne Regional Local History Museum, which presents a historical architectural model of the city at the end of the XVIII century, which gives an insight on major changes in region’s aquatic landscape. The artist suggests looking at rivers as witnesses to events, the artifacts of which have been destroyed; silent memory carriers.
