Fear of Turning into Stone

Fear Of Turning Into Stone is 4-channel a drone sound piece, a fluid soundscape that rises and recedes in slow, tidal waves, refusing to remain static. It is a dense, immersive substance, like deep-sea water or heavy air, that exerts pressure on the body and encircles the listener. Repeatedly surfacing sound piece offers a vision distinct from renewal or hope. It follows the viewers, surrounds them, representing the fear of becoming something incapable of regeneration. The piece was presented at the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition — La Biennale di Venezia as a part of “Drones for Drones, dakh (дах): selected works”.
